Immediate Dentures
This dramatic smile transformation has changed this patients life! Immediate Dentures are made in advance. Before the extractions are done, we take impressions or digital scans, and begin fabrication of the immediate dentures. Typically this process takes between one and four visits. Then we select a surgical partner to remove the teeth, and set up an appointment for you to have the bad teeth removed and the new bright smile placed in on the same day. After the surgery we coordinate a 24-48 hour post-op visit in our office to have Dr. Nelson double check everything. Because we use high quality labs, have lots of experience, and work with only the best surgeons, our outcomes are predictable, reliable, and result in a beautiful smile!
A Smile Upgrade:
The before photo seen here tells quite the story. An old and broken denture, and only five lower teeth, with tooth decay and concerns. Our patient was afraid to smile, and needed a smile upgrade! We replaced the upper denture with a simply natural looking smile, and also made new lower crowns and a new lower metal framework partial denture. The two metal clasps are not visible when this patient smiles so they were an ideal solution. Now this patient can better chew food, has a knock-out smile, and a renewed self confidence! Placing the teeth in a natural position (not perfectly straight, but still following the lower lip line) makes the final smile look so realistic, most people would not know they are looking at a denture.
Teamwork Transformation:
Four years later, and this patient is still enjoying her perfect bite, beautiful smile, and highly functional dentures! We worked with Team Perio for this creative solution. Our shared patient had a poorly fitting old denture and teeth that were failing. After the bad teeth were removed we worked together to place two dental implants and create a new handcrafted denture with an internal metal framework for added strength. Smile on!
Seven Teeth Replaced:
Our patient wanted their smile improved, and after reviewing options, through our very detailed examination process, we determined together that a metal framework partial would be the best solution. Look closely and you’ll see that with this one solution we were able to replace seven missing teeth, filling in every missing gap and space. The framework is fancy, too, fitting tightly against the gums and palate. For this particular patient, and many others, the cost of replacing seven missing teeth with dental implants is not an option. It is wonderful to have such an easy, predictable, and reliable solution. A metal framework partial can last for years if properly cared for and inspected regularly. Our patient, as they were leaving, said: ”This is perfect! Now my smile is fixed!”
New Big Smile!
This beautiful smile represents a significant upgrade to our patient’s previous set of dentures. And yes, even though these teeth look like natural teeth, they are indeed dentures. We customized the tooth position, and set the teeth in a natural design that follows the lower lip. What resulted was more confidence and teeth that match our patient’s smiley personality!
